India become the first country to reach Mars in first attempt, entered orbit in 2014, although it was more of a technology demonstrator but it was an excellent achievement, India’s excellence in science and tech field. MOM mission was a one of a kind project and it still beams back data to earth. it was a marvel of engineering.
Even though its methane sensor failed to detect methane but still sends back images and other data.

In 2017 union budget , Indian government has allocated huge sum of funding for ISRO, 23% increment to be precise and also has given the go ahead of Second Mars mission. This time France will also take part in the mission, possibly ISRO’s target is to put a lander and rover on mars, which only few countries have been able to do so far and if they do so according to NASA’s jet propulsion laboratory director Michael M Watkins;  NASA has asked ISRO if they can put a Electra radio equipment module inside the spacecraft which will allow american rovers and Indian satellites to easily communicate with each other.
