ISRO is planning to mine Helium-3 from moon

ISRO or Indian Space Research Organisation is planning to mine energy from moon by 2030 to meet indias energy need. So far plan is to mine Helium-3 rich lunar dust and send back to earth. Project look ambitious but not  impossible. Former chief of BrahMos Aerospace Dr Sivathanu Pillai said all of India’s energy requirements could be met through Helium 3 mined from the Moon. “By 2030, this process target will be met,” . Chandrayaan-2 ISRO’s Second Lunar Mission

Chandrayaan-2 or Moon-vehicle is India’s second lunar mission after successful Chandrayaan-1 or Moon impact probe mission which famously discovered the presence of water on the Moon. Chandrayaan-2 is being Developed by the ISRO , to be launched via Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Mk II Vehicle which includes a lunar orbiter, lander and rover indigenously developed by India.
