On Friday 22nd June , 2017 . India will launch its Earth Observation Satellite Cartosat-2 and 30 other nano satellites mostly foreign made at 9:29 am from Launch pad 1 at SriHarikota Space port . This will be ISRO’s workhorse PSLV‘s 40th flight also.

Out of 30 Nano satellites 29 of them are from foreign countries,  Austria, Belgium, Chile, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, the UK and the US. The other Nano satellite is from India, Students of Noorul Islam University made this satellite. All Satellites including Cartosat-2 will be placed in to the 505 Km Sun Synchronous orbit.

30 Nano satellites are altogether weighing 243 Kg.  Earth Observation Satellite weigh 712 Kg is the sixth satellite in the Cartosat-2 series which will provide regular remote sensing services using its panchromatic and multi spectral cameras .
The 29 foreign nano satellites are being launched as part of the commercial arrangements between the Antrix Corporation Ltd, ISRO’s commercial arm and the international customers.
