We have some wine in the cellar.  

Can be used in affirmative sentences and interrogatives (questions) when we
make an offer or a request. Example:

Can I have some salt please?  

When there is a pronoun some is not followed by a noun. Example:  

(There is some juice)
There is some.  

In this case someone is a pronoun, implies the name juice.
